Video: WICKED Spotlights Production Stage Manager Peyton Taylor Becker
"Every decision that I make affects anywhere between one and 2000 people," she reveals in the backstage video.
Lighting The Provocative Off-Broadway Musical, Slam Frank
I was fascinated by his design and questioned him about his process: “The show is a play within a play and thus I was able to use that as a tool to reference light looks from shows our own show is parodying, things I admire or even in my own history. There are moments I’m leaning into starkness, as if Jamie Lloyd directed it. There is even a moment in Spring Awakening I admire, that has lived in my head rent free for 20 years now,” notes Roderick. “I have been able to use my real-life experiences with how I lit those shows, and how a director wanted them lit, to copy myself and create a very true version of the play within a play in Slam Frank.”
"Dirty Dancing: The Musical" sets Broadway run

A gala performance is set for March 14. Lonny Price, who played Neil Kellerman in the original film, directs.

Damn Yankees" revival sets Broadway dates

Did They Notice?
Critics review the show, but how often do they mention the design?
Did They Notice? is The Tech Table's new review tracker for the 2026–2027 season. For every Broadway and Off Broadway opening, we read the reviews from more than 90 critics at 26 publications, including The New York Times, Variety and Vulture, and pull every line written about the scenery, costumes, lighting, sound, projections, wigs and hair, and illusions.
Each quote is exact, credited to the designer, and linked to the original review. Look up a show, a designer, a discipline, a publication, a critic or a venue to see who is getting noticed, which outlets pay attention to design, and what was said about your own work. Nearly 100 productions are in so far, with more added as shows open. It is available only to Tech Table subscribers.

21 reviews. 17 mentioned the design.
Qween Jean, Costumes (17 reviews)
“Before the girls perform for Eloise, Paulina creeps into the cafeteria alone, carefully made up and dressed in baby blue chiffon (costume designer Qween Jean continues to shoot nothing but net).”
Sara Holdren, Vulture
Teresa L. Williams, Scenic (10 reviews)
“The set designer Teresa L. Williams puts a wide window — with a view of a lovely hilltop — at the back of their lunchroom.”
Helen Shaw, The New York Times
Stacey Derosier, Lighting (5 reviews)
“If a character finds herself alone onstage, though, she might nod reverently to a wall-mounted Ghanaian flag, glowing subtly under the lighting designer Stacey Derosier's tightly focused spotlight.”
Helen Shaw, The New York Times
Cody Spencer, Sound (4 reviews)
“Transitions, handled swiftly without rushing, are buoyed by Ghanaian highlife songs heard crisply through Cody Spencer's sound design.”
Juan A. Ramirez, The Guardian
Nikiya Mathis, Wigs & Hair (3 reviews)
“…wig designer Nikiya Mathis and costume designer Qween Jean have some '80s fun while reminding us how political style truly is…”
Hayley Levitt, TheaterMania
